About Supcon

A Construction Background Built Over Decades

Supcon is backed by a family construction heritage spanning more than three decades.

Across residential construction, luxury homes, rendering, structural works, microcement applications and remedial building projects, our family has developed extensive practical knowledge of how buildings are designed, constructed, maintained and repaired.

This experience provides a unique perspective when approaching building defects. Rather than simply treating symptoms, we understand how different building systems interact and how failures develop over time.

Thomas Pencarinha

Director

Supcon is led by Thomas Pencarinha, who remains actively involved throughout every stage of a project.

From the initial site assessment through to project completion, Thomas works directly with clients to ensure defects are properly diagnosed, scopes are clearly documented and remediation works are delivered to a high standard.

This hands-on approach provides clients with a single point of accountability and ensures recommendations are based on site-specific observations rather than assumptions.

Why We Focus on Remedial Building

Every defect tells a story.

A crack may indicate movement.

A water stain may originate several metres away from where it appears.

Concrete deterioration may have been developing internally for years before becoming visible.

Successful remediation requires more than construction experience. It requires investigation, diagnosis and an understanding of how buildings perform over time.

That is why remedial building remains the primary focus of Supcon.

Construction & Renovation Capability

While remedial building remains our core focus, Supcon also delivers carefully selected residential construction projects.

  • Luxury Home Construction
  • Extensions & Additions
  • Major Renovations
  • Structural Alterations

This construction background strengthens our remedial capability by providing a deeper understanding of how buildings are assembled and how different systems interact throughout their lifecycle.

What Every Supcon Job Is Built On

Diagnosis First

Find the cause before the scope.

Every job opens with hours of diagnosis. Cover-meter and moisture mapping, junction inspection, the failure point opened where access allows. The scope is written from what the building actually tells us, then delivered exactly as written.

Long-term Fix

Source first. Patch never.

Maintenance paints over the symptom. Remedial finds the external cause and removes it. If the right answer is six weeks of work and a planter-box membrane replacement, that is the recommendation, not a tube of sealant.

Standards Mastery

AS 4654, AS 3740, AS 3600, AS 3700, AS 1684, NCC, every scope.

Every membrane, every wet area, every concrete repair is built to the relevant Australian Standard and the manufacturer specification behind it: AS 4654 waterproofing, AS 3740 wet areas, AS 3600 concrete, AS 3700 masonry, AS 1684 timber framing, and the National Construction Code across the build. The standard is the floor, not the aspiration. Building-science discipline runs through every diagnosis.

Heritage Behind Every Scope

Three decades of construction standing behind the work.

Thomas on site for diagnosis and quality, with three decades of construction experience behind every multi-week programme. A construction background across residential, luxury homes, rendering, microcement, structural and remedial work sharpens every diagnosis. The second set of eyes is the difference between a fix that holds and a fix that is a sales line.

Have a building defect that keeps returning?

Recurring defects often indicate an underlying issue that has not been properly identified. Send through the issue, ideally with photos, and Supcon can help determine the most appropriate path forward.
