1. About this policy

Supcon Group Pty Ltd (Supcon, we, us, our) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through supcongroup.com.au, by email, by phone, on site, and through any other channel we operate.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What we collect

We collect personal information you give us when you enquire about a remedial scope, request a quote, supply photos or documents for diagnosis, sign a scope of works, or otherwise engage Supcon. That typically includes:

  • name and title (e.g. strata manager, owners corporation chairperson)
  • contact details (email, phone, mailing address)
  • company or strata firm
  • building or site address and access details
  • photos, documents, scopes, reports, and other materials you provide
  • your description of the remedial issue
  • billing and payment information for engaged work

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit supcongroup.com.au, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent. This is used to operate and improve the site.

3. Why we collect it

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and prepare a remedial scope
  • arrange and conduct site visits
  • issue quotes, invoices, and project documentation
  • communicate during active remedial work
  • handle defects liability claims after handover
  • operate and improve supcongroup.com.au
  • comply with our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where reasonably necessary for the purpose you provided it, including:

  • our team and trusted subcontractors involved in scoping or delivering your remedial work
  • service providers who help us run our business (email delivery via Resend, lead-pipeline storage in Supabase, hosting via Vercel, accounting and invoicing platforms)
  • your strata manager, building manager, or owners corporation committee where you have authorised the engagement
  • insurers, building consultants, engineers, certifiers, or warranty providers where required for the work
  • regulatory authorities or law enforcement where required by law

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (e.g. email and hosting platforms) operate or store data outside Australia, including in the United States and European Union. By providing your information, you consent to it being disclosed to those providers in those jurisdictions for the purposes set out above.

6. How we store it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. That includes access controls on our cloud platforms, encryption in transit, and limiting internal access to those who need it.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and for any legal, tax, warranty, or defects-liability period that applies. After that, we destroy or de-identify it.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@supcongroup.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. In limited cases we may decline access, in which case we will tell you why in writing.

9. Cookies and analytics

supcongroup.com.au uses cookies and similar technologies for site analytics (Vercel Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights, Metricool). These help us measure how people use the site so we can improve it. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

You can disable cookies in your browser. The site will still work, with reduced analytics signal on our end.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Privacy Act or this policy, please email info@supcongroup.com.au with the details. We will investigate and respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at supcongroup.com.au/privacy with the effective date at the top.
